Having a fuge on a reef tank is very good!

It helps keep the water clean.

The cheapest mods are with the HOB filters like the link provided above.

I think madago recent put a fuge on this nanocube so hopefully he can comment on this.

I keep marco algae in my display tank so in a way I have an "in tank" fuge.
I ate my fish that died.

i got to say it is really good..for a sub 5 gallon pico...
everything just went much better since i run it like a little more than a month ago...

What are you keeping in there?

The macros I gave you or something else?

yeah, that's standard. It grows faster and grows together like of like a sponge.

why not just leave the aquaclear alone and throw some carbon/Chemipure elite/ ect in?

I had an aqua clear 500 at one point, and thought it would make an ez fuge. Never new people were doing it.

Good point. I think you can do both. I just added some purigen to my canister like you told me.

Don't see much of any changes to water condition, but mine are also good anyhow cause I don't even keep a fish! :)

I think purigen is a great product. I used it in my chichlid tank, and now i use it in my reef tank.
