Ya one you eat shell on mine didn't have the head I just threw if in and frozen is fine itll thaw out and decompose and kick the cycle off goodComment

Cycle times vary....best to check with a test kit.
I would just wait off on it until the tank is cycled. If you don't have a test kit....it's safe to wait a month.I ate my fish that died.
