so i got some emerald crabs yesterday. i dont have any bubble algae or hair algae, just have low profile green algae and i think crabs are neat. I was reading about things to give it for a low algae tank and found horror stories about decimated polyps and whatnot. now im paranoid about it munching on my zoas. i was curious if anyone has put anything in their tank, like macro algae or something, to keep the crabs full and happy?

Naw if you get a psycho crab it'll wreak havoc regardless of what you give it to eat. It's hit or miss though so you might get lucky.700g Mini-Monster tank -
ive never noticed emerald crabs eating zoas and i've had about 6 different ones over the life of my tank. maybe im just lucky.Comment

Never had a problem with emerald crabs and my corals. Though I have had a problem with them knocking crap over that isnt secured.Comment
