If all posible I would make sure everything is tight first like everyone else had said I've been keeping salt for 1.5-2 years now and I know if its not right it can be an exspensive mistake I've lost corals to easy mistakes and let my water get off a little and there goes some of my fish ($30-$50 fish) also do you have a RO/DI for your water if not you'll need that I've ran my tank without one for awhile and had algae blooms and hard time with my water hope all goes well and GL

I don't have one. I thought that algae problem could be handled by snails/shrimps/fishes/stars who eat it.
Is that the only problem you encountered without RODI?

This was a pretty good article on ro/di systems and bulk reef supply sells good ones IMO
