    Had to raise mine up about 1.5" when it was set up. Skimmers are so cool, I sat and watched mine work often when I first hooked it up. Aquarium equipment is pretty straight forward, but skimmers... I still have no idea how the hell they work

    Solved my own problem. Since I got micro-bubbles with the aide of an air pump, but none without . . . that meant that pump was too deep in the water. I raise the skimmer . . . presto . . . bubbles.

    I am having a problem with my skimmer. . . it isn't producing micro-bubbles. I tried trouble shooting . . . it will produce microbubbles when I attach the airline tube to an air pump, but not when it is by itself out of water.

    There isn't much to look at yet. I'll take a quick picture in a second. I don't think I have my skimmer is properly set up. I'm looking for macro-algae, shrimp, and snails soon.
