After looking at the sump in person:Originally posted by rage View PostFoureyedfish,
Your pictures are not too clear. A diagram like the one below is better to describe the flow.
That drawing is very close. The baffle on the far right extends a little higher and it is a couple inches farther to the left. Which way will the water need to flow, and still incorporate a refugium?

The drawing has the 2nd baffle from the left extends all the way to the bottomOriginally posted by RocketSurgeon View PostAfter looking at the sump in person:

Does not look like that in image 303.

It looks similar to the drawing in post #18 with the exception of the far right baffle is about 2" taller than the center baffle.

If you could just describe the baffles. There are 3 of them. Is it true that
1) The left baffle extends all the way to the top but has a gap at the bottom ?
2) The second from the left (the middle) is a few inches from the top and has a gap at the bottom?
3) The baffle on the right is also a few inches from the top and has a gap at the bottom?

If that is the case then the return pump should be in the left chamber, not the middle.Originally posted by RocketSurgeon View Post1.correct

The baffle in the right does not do much good except it may keep the bubbles from the drain away from the return.
