I got mine from global aquatics this time. The owner is the only guy that works there, and he is very good at telling you not to get it if there was something wrong. I told him i was afraid of buying another yel tang because thats what brought in ich last time. He told me he recommends a quarantine tank no mater where you buy. But he also told me how long he has had certain tangs and showed them feeding. So i bought a tang that he had for 3 or 4 weeks, and he seems to be doing just fine with no sign of ich. I have yet to buy anything from him that has had a problem. Other than getting a gal crab in a coral, but thats no biggy.

Purple spots are coraline algae, it grows everywhere, even on the glass.

Yes it will empty your pockets, it's just a matter of how fast you let it empty them.

Looks great, where did you pickup those colonies of zoas? Looking to add some more to my tank but I can only find bland ones around here or $5-10 a polyp for colorful ones.

ohh snap, soo good on rocks and not on glass haha..... so would be best to slowly collect items rather than taking everthing at once.. good thing im patient, kinda haha

Well, even if you have the money, it's still best to add things slowly. Reef tanks can go bad pretty quick if you add too much livestock at once, depending on the size and age of the tank.

How old is the tank tang-chaser?

the tanks a year and a half old. I buy a 50$ colony or frag every month. or try to at least. Most of my rock was diy so thats why the tanks not completely purple yet. heres some better pics of the zoas and palys i have. Most zoa colonies i bought from global aquatics at 20-50$ a pop. i bought the pink and radio actives from city pets.
