Re: Help with a flow issue.
They're stoopid expensive for something that can break so easily. Knock offs are about $40-50 a set depending on the size. Name brand will run at least $60 for an inlet and another $60 for an outlet. So total about $120 and that's for the crappier stuff. The nicer stuff is about $80+ a piece. Cheaper than a mp10 of course.Originally posted by sunkenmetal View Postmaybe some small glass lilly pipes and a small pump to make a small closed loop system.

You can paint it with paint for pvc they sell it at homedepot... or buy grey pvc pipe.Originally posted by 40GallonsOfDoom View PostI like Jhenry's suggestion. Just am not quite sure how to make that work. Also is there a way to paint PVC with something that won't contaminate or leach into the water?

Krylon fusion spray paint. Comes in several colors and bonds to plastic. Safe for aquariums after allowing it to cure.Originally posted by sunkenmetal View PostYou can paint it with paint for pvc they sell it at homedepot... or buy grey pvc pipe.

For such a small tank, you can try a small 10G Hang on Back mechanical filter, its outflow is every gentle.Originally posted by 40GallonsOfDoom View PostPretty sure I need more flow in my tank. But I am afraid a power head is going to be an eyesore in such a small tank. Any suggestions?
You can use the filter media that comes with it or you can remove it.

Re: Help with a flow issue.
I don't have bulkheads or ways to drill it. Besides it's a planted tank that the lily pipes are going on. If we're talking saltwater, then yeah drill that ho!Originally posted by sunkenmetal View PostJust drill your tanks lilly pipes are fugly.
