Ill probably do that.
Got some black live sand today so it's coming along slowly but surely :) now for more live rocks and 2 maxi jets 1200. I know that black absorbs light but I'll work around that :) never done the all black sand thig before so it'll look nice :)

Like I said I'll be using reef crystal
I've read it countless times about the light and black sand. White reflects more light while the black just soaks it all up. Pretty sure as long as I dont have corals that need all around light it'll be fine or if I set it in a spot where it'll get all the light it needs it'll do fine

fyi this is a odyessa hob protein skimmer. They work very well as an in sump skimmer but, when hanged they tend to leak :P

I'm not done scaping the tank yet because i'll be getting more liverock tomorrow from a buddy. more pics soon!

I like kalk and added dosing of Alk, Ca, and Mg separately. That is my current regimine in my 300.
