Everything seems happy and healthy. Snails are actively cleaning and the hermit is as well. Hopefully things will be aight. I dont plan on adding anything else until the CUC then I will probably hold off for a month or so. I have satisfied my urge to blow money and have tested my water 2 times a day for the past 4 days. Things seem stable. /fingers crossed

ALSO it seems as if the clown isnt a false perc at all...but an Occ!

      Out and swimmin:

hes so funny to watch. I dont think he can decide where he wants to make home. He hovered over the rubble piece for an hour or so then moved over to the ledge. He activly investigates people who come look at him, makin sure they dont get too close LOL. Hes feisty and shy at the same time. I WAS worried for a brief second when I saw a white bumpy spot on his lip.........then it fell off.......it was a piece of sand ROFL!

I wouldent tell people that. You should also never say im experiencing the worst cyanobacteria outbreak ever. It kind of makes people cringe and turn away.

Ive dealt with it before, just gonna raise the MG levels as usual. I wish it was on one rock, but its on everything, even the dead rock. It looks half dead anyways so maybe the CUC will finish it off when they arrive, if not, then I'll raise the levels. Kinda using MG as a last resort though. People can cringe all they want to, it isnt their tank or their problems. I just "blog" to keep ideas open and keep track of things as they go, otherwise, if someone else gets it, they'll know the pros and cons of battling the god forsaken crap LOL.

                      • Some one change the tread title to "kittysnax 30gal tank of doom" or "Kittys 30gal algae explosion" then when you get done killing that stupid algae we can change it back to "kittys awesome 30gal reef".

                            • Ok so I dumped em in and sure 'nough the clown had to peck at their heads a couple of times. It was so cute, but I felt kinda sorry for the lil guys! The clown quickly realized it wasnt a snack and left em alone, but noticed I was paying more attention to the crabs by trying to watch them....."Short Bus" wouldnt have any of that so he decided to swim up in my face over and over again...lil *******.

The crabs seem to be doing well considering I just dumped them in. They havent touched the algae yet, but they have been sifting through the sand so I suppose that is a good sign. I hope they are hungry..... fingerscrossed

                                +1 good post!

That's the main point to a forum, IMHO.

                                Nice additions in the crabs.
I ate my fish that died.
