That's called an automatic transfer switch and is necessary if the power needs to be uninterrupted.

10-4 that's what its called.. it cost more than a regular transfer switch but you dont have to lose power either. my clocks don't even reset when it switches.

Negative my generator comes on automaticly when the house loses power and turns off when it gets power back. It's tied into my breaker box. Do it right.

That runs what 2K? I thought about that I want to do it especially since they say it increases your home value by double as its a great selling feature here in Houston

About $2500 installed but it added that to my value of the home so it was like it was done for free and I don't have power outtages

You have to be home to hook it up to the generator while the battery back up is design to kick on automatically when lights go out.

Ok I would take a pic but its just too small for the camera to get a good pic of. But there is this brown thing on the glass. Actually there is two on the glass in different spots and one on the leather. Anyways I thought it was some particle that stuck to the glass so when I was cleaning the glass I hit is but it didnt come off. I actually started to move maybe 1/4" everytime I touched it. Like I said its brown and it almost has a 4 leaf clover shape. If undisturbed it hasnt moved in hours. Anyone know what this is its a little hard to look up brown thing and its not on the list on nano-reef.com
