  • Golden Dwarf Moray?

So I've done a bit of reading on these lil guys and I've taken an intrest (more like a addiction) to them. I wanted to know if anyone has owned one before and how are they with other smaller fish/inverts? (i.e. clowns, warrse, gobys, crabs, snails ect.) I know they stay relativly small and I was gonna house one in a 75 reef. Figure the small size would be more compadibale with most reef fish.

Never kept that species, but if other moray species are an indication, I'd make Priority #1 compatibility (which you have) and Priority #2 finding a way to keep it in the tank. Sorry, I've only kept snowflakes before.
Tell your boss you need to go home to take care of your "cichlids." It sounds an awful lot like "sick kids." )

When doing research on dwarf moray's I learned two good things. 1) They need lots of hiding spots. ie tons of rocks to lay up in and leave their head exposed. 2)As long as your fish are bigger than their mouth they SHOULD(key word here) leave them alone. Then again we are dealing with wild animals here, so they can be unpredictable.
        We got de Hooch baby!

Ive heard they're a bit more docile even with smaller fish but, again it's a dwarf so naturally they'll eat smaller things (out of the question on smaller gobies and shrimps) They're max length I blieve is about 10"-15" from what I've been reading about them. My 75 has plenty of hiding spots in and under my rocks so that I'm not really worried about. I've kept a white ribbon eel before so I had the hassel of trying to keep him out of the overflow and staying in the tank but, had no problems what so ever with him (he died due to a move. Have yet to find one with the same or about the same attitude). Generally all of my fish are about 5" or more. The largest fish being a yellow eye kole tang and the smallest a royal gramma so I hope the dwarf would leave some of the smaller guys alone.
