angel fish became crab food, damsels looking rough but still eating, tang looks good but breathing fast, rest of the fish show no signs.

If you can get the fish out you may try some copper in a hospital tank. Man, this really sucks dude.

yeah i knew i was pressing my luck with the tang. getting all my other fish without signs of ich and never using a quarantine tank ( i thought my tank was invincible ). I think i will just go straight coral for a while till the ich dies itself out.

Google ich or ick. Clownfish are pretty hardy but they still are vulnerable to ich.

Well it looks like my clown fish and my scooter blenny are going to be the only survivors. I still have another yellow tail damsel holding on.

                Dead list.

                1st cycle of ich:
                Pygmy angel 32$

                2nd cycle of ich:
Yellow tang (the one who most likely brought it in) 38$
                Mandarin 19$
                yellow tail damsel 4$

                Almost 100$ down the pooper!

I'd definitely stop putting any fish in the tank until the problem is resolved. I'd also set up a QT tank prior to restocking and QT new arrivals for 30 days at minimum.

way ahead of u. No new fish for almost a year and i already have a small tank for quarantine. Just lost the other damsel. Now im down to my scooter and clownfish. On another note corals are doing well, and i have manage to keep my shrimp out of the sump.

Just a quick question, but why do you think this could be due to temp fluctuations? Since you said you raised the temp of the water to try to help fight this, I guess that means you have a heater? If so, how would there be large temp fluctuations?

Just curious. Hope you didn't have to deal with a faulty heater on top of everything else. :(

my tank is in a garage converted apartment that the central air and heat is not working so the room gets cold at night. I have 450watts of heaters on the tank but that cant keep the tank temp stable when the room is 40 degrees. The tang brought it in the ich because i had all the other fish get down to 63 degrees one night ant they were fine. So it had to be the tang.
