8O  8O  8O  because a few people can't play nice 100% of the time people think real topics should be banned?

I am all for everyone being nice but come on people. Banning everyone from specific topics is a slippery slope. If all political, sexual, religious, financial, etc... discussions are banned from the lounge then it might as well just stay closed.

Political = Any mention of personal feelings or questions on any current event slightly related to a political topic might offend someone. i.e. Don't even mention Hollywood or talk Radio because everyone knows both have a political agenda.

Sexual = Any mention of anything even remotely related to sexuality might offend someone. i.e. Me mentioning my wife, nick would have to change his signature, we couldn't make fun of Geoff for dancing in front of his tanks because all of these things refer to sexuality as well as nudity and in some cases political issues.

Religious = This one is pretty obvious. No merry Christmas, 0 mention of God, Heaven forbid we tell someone they are "In our prayers"

Financial = We might as well remove the fish market as well. I would probably be offended if I even saw a $ (sarcasm)

Etc... = Anything else anyone might find offensive i.e. Troph food experiments, puffer dentistry, putting Holy Rock in a Tang tank (there's no holy rock in Africa, more sarcasm) and so on.

People, come on. How about we all quit being so sensitive and be a little more inclusive of peoples rights to disagree on things. If you don't like what you're reading STOP reading it. Take responsibility for yourself before you worry about enforcing unnecessary rules on anyone else.

Madonna... Sexual, Religious and Political. Be careful, mentioning her might be offensive, she's way too controversial.

I said it once and I'll say it again.  If one feels strongly about a subject and finds themself needing to express their views then take it to another site setup just for that.  

So the Lounge either prohibits certain subjects or what is the alternative?  We can't depend on every individual showing restraint and some common sense, so then we need active Mods or Admins (Big Brother) to clean up our mess?

You can't make everyone happy regardless of what the final decision will be.  

FYI - I'm not being arguementative and would be happy to discuss further in private or elsewhere.

Sure sounds like an open invitation to express yourself to me....

But I do imagine that Mr. FishBox (if I may borrow that one) was hoping that folks would be a bit more reserved when doing so....
