And last time I checked, there are people out in the real world who do choose on their own to seek therapy to overcome their homosexual thoughts and feelings. There are even people out there that claim it has helped them overcome those feelings. So now you hate therapists that help people who may be confused about their sexuality or do you just not believe a person can be confused about their sexuality and not really be gay?

Confusion and experimentation is one thing. Trying to change a homosexual to a heterosexual, completely different ball park. I know this from self experience. I sought such therapy as a teenager (from the Catholic Church). I nearly took my own life over it. When I sought a psychologist, I was encouraged to accept myself for who I am, not for what others want me to be. Homosexuality is no longer listed as a mental disease or disorder. This is all I will say on this particular issue.

Really Nick? I didn't realize Gays were being rounded up on the streets and forced into Gay concentration camps for straight reprogramming. I thought adults who go to a therapist for help with sexual identity issues did so of their own free will as you indicated you did in these statements. "I sought such therapy as a teenager" and "When I sought a psychologist". So why so much hatred on your part towards anyone who feels people with sexual identity or confusion issues should have Therapists to help them? Why would you begrudge anyone the opportunity to get help and determine whether they really are gay or straight?

And didn't all this trauma you always bring up from your childhood happen like 30 years ago? Wasn't it your family (and Church at your families request) that drove you to the extremes you like to reference? I ask because you seem to blame the Republican Party a lot but I've never heard of bands of Republicans or Tea Party members kidnapping Gays and attempting to reprogram them to be straight. I think your anger and hate is horribly misdirected.

And I WOULD classify sexual identity confusion as a mental disorder. i.e. Anyone who seeks therapy to work through sexual identity issues is experiencing some level of psychological issue that they are attempting to work out. I would be very surprised if anyone these days is walking into a therapist office with some sort of issue like anger management issues and the Therapist concludes "well sir, the problem is that you are Gay! We will need to start by reprogramming you to be straight"

I thought the basis for the tea part was just the overall dis-satisfaction in government, that it was formed in order to confront city and government officials about things like the health care bill ....the bail out money grabs....etc.....

I did not know they had other agenda's to them....

I think Karl Rove is wrong but is entitled to his opinion. He is mad for the same reasons the Dems were mad at Ralph Nader because the rise of the Tea Party could take votes away from the Republican Party.
