  • What the heck is wrong with kids these days?

So i went to the store the other day and in line behind me is a group of 4 teenage Asian kids. I look back and one of them is wearing a T-Shirt with mao tse tung wearing a Red Star Communist hat.

I turned around and thought for about it for a min.

I turned back to the group and said this. "You know, Homslice on your shirt? He massacred about 100 million Chinese men, women and children." to which the teen replied "Uh, maybe". I was stunned. I replied "WHAT? UH MAYBE? Maybe you knew or maybe he Starved 100 million of his people in the name of Communism?" The boy didn't answer and the group seemed shocked that I would say anything. I then told him "You may think it's a cool shirt but there is nothing cool about 100 million Chinese people being killed by a dictator"

    WTF?

Funny, all these dictators all on the same level as Hitler (maybe not in numbers, but surely in motivation), but for some reason Hitler is the only one that will get you vilified.

An equally relevant and disturbing question, IMO, is, "What the heck is wrong with adults these days?"

I mean, obviously the kid didn't have a clue. So he probably didn't special order the shirt, or design it himself. Which means that an adult was probably involved somewhere along the line. Someone had to think of the idea of putting Mao on a T-shirt, then had to send the design off to a manufacturing facility, who had to approve the design, then make the shirt. Then a store had to approve of it enough to order the shirt and think it would sell. And finally, the kid's parents (assuming he's still living at home and/or getting allowance) had to also approve of the buying of the shirt and/or NOT ask, "What the heck are you wearing, kid?!?" when he walked out the door.

Too soon the worlds populations forget the lessons past on by history.....people become complacent and then on top of that you add in the modern day technologies of massive amounts of brain washing by liberal media campaign ads etc.....it's a wonder we've made it this far into the 21st Century.

Face it, the world is being dumbed down by a global campaign to lower the educational standards accross the globe.

Truth is the cement that holds the bricks and stones of a sane and civilized society together. Remove the former and the latter will crumble.

Same with people wearing Che Guevara shirts and people in the states celebrating is daughter when she said her father did nothing wrong.

Parents man. I'm one of the only guys at my work that whip my kids when they get out of line. I watch the other guys let their little heathens bounce off the walls then attempt to save face in front of the rest of us by talking sternly and making empty threats.

                  WEAKNESS.

...and if CPS gets wind of the fact that you "whip" your kids, you'll likely be explaining to some judge why you get to keep them. Pain and fear are two of the most important survival mechanisms that we evolved, yet the pseudo-scientific community which came up with the whole, "kids should never be hit for any reason" school of thought doesn't seem to realize that both of these mechanisms work. Apparently, since it doesn't take an advanced degree to be able to utilize this method of corporal correction, it isn't worthy of consideration by the people who know how to raise our kids better than we and don't have any problem telling us how.

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.

Excuse me, I was exaggerating. By "whipping" I meant placing them in timeout with their video games, soft drinks, and sugar candy.

                      My bad!
