HOUSTON -- A taco truck owner fatally shot a man who stole his tip jar, police told KPRC Local 2.Houston police said Benito Pantoja, 24, stole the taco truck's tip jar at about 2:45 a.m. Saturday.The taco truck owner chased Pantoja to the 8300 block of La Porte Road.Investigators said the taco truck owner confronted Pantoja and shot him. Pantoja was taken to Ben Taub Hospital with a wound to the left shoulder and later died.The case will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.

Man shocked with Taser dies at Houston hospital
HOUSTON — A fleeing man who died after a Harris County sheriff's deputy used a Taser on him during a traffic stop allegedly had slugged the officer.
The name of the man who died Tuesday morning was not immediately released.
Sheriff's spokeswoman Christina Garza says the suspect Monday night fell to the ground and struck his head after he and the deputy struggled and the Taser was discharged. The man was transported to a hospital, where he later died.
Garza says Deputy J. Shriver had pulled over a pickup for an alleged traffic violation. Shriver was treated and released from a hospital.

Sorry D, I think the 17 y/o girl who charged and assaulted a fully grown armed Police officer while he was on duty presented a clear threat and NO regard for the law or her own safety and she is lucky to be alive. This Cop would have been justified in drawing and using his weapon.

It's real simple, DON'T put your hands on the Police. If this girls parents aren't going to raise her any better and she is this STUPID, what is next? If she will attack an armed Police officer, what happens when someones unarmed Grandmother does or says something she doesn't like on the street?

BTW, both of these girls have Police records of violence.

The girl is the one who escalated this situation by charging him and hitting him. If ANYONE doesn't want to get hit, tased or shot by a Cop it is very simple. Do what they tell you and chances are you will walk away just fine. Put your hands on them and you are GUARANTEED to find yourself in a world of hurt. I know that you know this. When you get pulled over on your bike do you try to fight with the Cops? No! Why? Because you know better.

You know, if the cop would have handled his business on the first lady like he knew what the hell he was doing, she would have been detained before the second one would have come around.

Either way, the second girl didn't warrant a punch to the face. Thats why everyone has tasers now. He should have backed up, drawn his taser, told the girl in pink drop to the ground, and then when she didn't, assisted her via fifty thousand volts. The cop punching her just came off as a sign of weakness and fear.
