Death of the Big 12

Check that it may not be over. Orangebloods.com is reporting that Jerry Jones is making a push for Arkansas to leave the SEC and join the Big 12 and is working on getting Notre Dame to join as well bringing it back up to 12 and keeping the conference championship game that was scheduled to play through 2013 in Jerry World. That would really stick it to the Big Ten if the Big 12 were able to pick up Notre Dame.

Notre Dame has turned down repeat (and still open) invitations to other conferences though. They want to stay independent.

They want their own TV independent and dont want to share that which works perfectly with the Big 12 the only BCS conference that allows that.

They would bring some excited football and baseball. Wait...Texas Baseball team is at home because of who? Honestly, they will bring some excitement, more then UofH.

I don't see why the big 12 wouldn't want to add 2 more teams.

More games played but more money too.
