Correct me if I am wrong, but didnt Obama run on a platform of government transparency after what he called a closed regime under Bush? Well where is this mythical transparency? The government in the cloak of darkness attached on to the Financial Services Bill a provision allowing Americans to have to pay a charge for using a debit card and opens the door to banks charging a fee to have a debit card similar to an annual fee on credit cards. Might I mention all the add-ons to the Health Bill and the Czars of the administration who reports to no one other than the president with no congressional oversight.

We were promised a considerable number of things that have not come to pass. However if you want real irony about transparency I will refer to Obama's signing of the Freedom of Press (aka Daniel Pearl) act. Only carefully screened and selected members of the media were invited to attend. They were provided literature so they would know what to report and print about the event. However the real irony came at the end of the event a reporter said the following;"Speaking of press freedoms...." and launched into a question. To which our benevolent leader replied "You are free to ask them,....I am not doing a press conference today."
