I heard Rush say the other day that some scientist are saying that oil will heat up the water faster thus making a storm more powerful. I don't know how much truth there is to that but it sounds logical. And then you have to worry about it slinging that crap everywhere.....

Have anyone checked BP history in other countries in regards to leaks? They had a huge leak in the Red Sea and use tankers to gather the oil up. Only in the US are they slackers. Remember the plant in Laporte!

I'm wondering if their dragging their feet intentionally for some reason.....

You'd think by now, they would have made some measureable progress in closing off or at least reducing the oil flow/leak....

I'm wondering too, if this will affect the pressure in the earth somehow and cause even greater problems down the road....

It maybe the fault of the MMS in cleaning this all up. Supposedly the company that helped with the Red Sea issue in coming up with the idea of using tankers offered their assistance but were not accepted. I wonder why they have been so inept. Now the admin is trying to spin why they arent doing enough. The media has been asking Obama why when Jindal requested to created a barrier island to stop the oil from getting to the shore the admin dismissed it as credible. This hasnt gotten way bigger then Exxon Valdez and will be the worst disaster in American history. Either way of who is president I hope that the admin gets this solved quickly we may not be able to enjoy our beaches for years and maybe decades.

It took 9 months to stop the oil flow!
