I was thinking about the title to this sub-forum "World News and Current Events". I thought that with the diverse group of HFB's members that there would be a diverse group of sources of world and current information. So with that said, I will start with The Economist.

Why I like the site:

I only use the site for weekly email notifications for The World this Week: Politics and the weekly email The World this Week: Business. One has to sign up by registering for an account (free) to receive the email notifications. The Econimist does give a different slant to the news available in the US.

i'm checking out the econimist right now. i watch cspan every morning for 2 hr's. can't take to much of this world or I will over load. I gave the the news up on TV 2 yr's ago and feel much better not having that BS swimming around in my head.
