  • How do I build my own drinking filter?

just came back from Tulsa OK where the water tastes sooo much better than the stuff here.  Can't be that hard but  google searches have too much junk to find a page on how to build my own drinking water filter for Cypress water.

If all you want is drinking water, you can buy a faucit adapter at wallyworld.

If you want to filter your kitchen cooking & drinking water try this.

If you want to get rid of the hardness and make enough water for a large aquarium, you need an R/O unit
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

Yep,  40 years of trying to build it better, faster, cheaper, safer.

After looking around I installed this: http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?actio...R25&lpage=none

              Water tastes great!

Some things it doesn't tell you on the outside of the box.

Drill a 1 3\8ths hole in your sink. - $23 dollar drill bit I didn't have and another trip to lowes.

Some cutting and fitting of new PVC for the drain. -$20 another trip to lowes.

Vampire tap for the cold water source I didn't like.. I got brass fitting that screwed into the existing pluming: $11
