    Re: Obama Sheeple YouTube

    Racism...

"Discrimination or prejudice based on race."

So those people in the clip, voting on the basis of race, are exercising a prejudice based on race. They are therefore, by definition, racist.

I was just curious. THere is no such thing as "reverse racism". All discrimination or prejudice based upon race is racism. That you would call it reverse racism says to me that you think it is somehow different. It is not. Those who would vote for Obama (or against, for that matter) based upon his race are just as guilty of racism as those, for example, who fought for segregation. The people in the clip, given the chance to show their rationale for voting for Obama based upon something other than race, could not do so.

If the people who are voting for Obama strictly based on the color of his skin and nothing more, then yes that can be seen as a form of racism..  But you have to understand, people vote on other candidates due to their politcal offilications only.  People were voting for Clinton because she is a woman.  Most people vote because they have something in common with the candidate, not due what they stand for so i dont want call out those who chooses to vote for Obama because they feel as though they have something in common with him, racist.  If thats the case, then we need to look at all voters no matter who their canidate is. i  aplogize for misudnerstanding your question.

        Re: Obama Sheeple YouTube

I guess I was asking the question because you had insinuated that I was racist at one point for voting against Obama. We then had a back and forth about what I feel about Obama's policies, record, and plans. I was just wondering how you felt about those people when, given the opportunity to comment on policy and such, they showed that they actually ARE going to vote on nothing more than race. There was no animosity in it intended. I would think you would be mad at hell at those people for not knowing the issues and making your side (Democrats, not African Americans) look pretty bad in the process. I just see the Republicans always portrayed as bringing up race and this video proves that race is just as prevalent, if not more so, in the mindset on your side.

People need to look more into policies then what people have in common. color.  I have seen some quotes from obama's book "Dreams of my father" that disturbed me.  Granted i have not read the book and maybe these quotes were not used in a racist context, but they disturbed me none the less.  Here are some of them.
"I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites."
"There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white."
"It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names."

It's hard for me to not think that Obama is pro-"black power" when he attended a church that preached black supremacy.
I don't really mind if someone wants to go to that church (freedom of religion), I'm just worried about the fact that he denied agreement with Rev. Wright's beliefs after 20 years of attendance.
Somewhere with the 20 years of attending The Trinity United Church of Christ...he heard the racism and hatred involved AND HE STAYED.

I just think it's cowardly to attend a church, accept their beliefs, then become a Presidential nominee and denounce him.

All I'm saying is that white people are seen as racists much more easily than black people and, from my experience, that's not necessarily the case. I'm not denying that some white people won't vote for Obama because he's black. I'm just saying that there are a lot of black people who will vote for Obama just because he's black.

McCain voted against the creation of a holiday honoring Martin Luther King in 1983, a vote which was supported by a large number of Republicans.

Quote 1: "I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites." This is an accurate quote from the introduction to Dreams from My Father.  The book chronicles Obama's experience as the son of an African father and an American mother.

Quote 2: "There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white." It it in a section in which Obama describes a job interview with a man in Chicago.  Race had been a part of their discussion and the full quote is, "There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe.  And white---he'd said himself that was a problem."

Quote 3:"It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names."It is from a section when Obama was a college student and wrestling with his identity including as an African-American.  The quote describes his observation of what was required among his fellow students.

No, not at all, but when your Religion teaches the supremecy of one race over another then you have to wonder. So either Obama attended church for appearances, or he went to church and believed in the message. Either way it's not good.

                              Things Republicans Believe

Being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime, unless you're a conservative radio host. Then it's an illness and you need our prayers for your recovery.

The United States should get out of the United Nations, and our highest national priority is enforcing U.N. resolutions against Iraq.

Government should relax regulation of Big Business and Big Money but crack down on individuals who use marijuana to relieve the pain of illness.

"Standing Tall for America" means firing your workers and moving their jobs to India.

A woman can't be trusted with decisions about her own body, but multi-national corporations can make decisions affecting all mankind without regulation.

Jesus loves you, and shares your hatred of homosexuals and Hillary Clinton.

The best way to improve military morale is to praise the troops in speeches while slashing veterans' benefits and combat pay.

Group sex and drug use are degenerate sins unless you someday run for governor of California as a Republican.

If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents won't have sex.

A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our long-time allies, then demand their cooperation and money.

HMOs and insurance companies have the interest of the public at heart.

Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy. Providing health care to all Americans is socialism.

Global warming and tobacco's link to cancer are junk science, but creationism should be taught in schools.

Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad guy when Bush's daddy made war on him, a good guy when Cheney did business with him and a bad guy when Bush needed a "we can't find Bin Laden" diversion.

A president lying about an extramarital affair is an impeachable offense. A president lying to enlist support for a war in which thousands die is solid defense policy.

Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution, which include banning gay marriages and censoring the Internet.

Trade with Cuba is wrong because the country is communist, but trade with China and Vietnam is vital to a spirit of international harmony.

When you continually go back for "seconds" for over 20 years, then it sure doesn't make you a "good" person. But I could care less about all that. Obama's tax plan is my #1 concern.
