Ghost shrimp ate a string

Just thought I would share  a picture with everyone:


It seems that one of my ghost shrimp ate a string, I don't know where it came from unless it fell off my top while I was doing a water change but he ate it. It's been in him for over a month now. I thought by now he would have passed it. As you can see it don't seem to bother him at all and he's eating good, I think I'm going to call him skunk! He sort of looks like a skunk with that white string going through him.

great picture of "Skunk".....i guess that makes them sort of like goats that will eat anything....
if it's been a month and he's still going strong i guess he's not hindered by that string.....

How odd. And you'd think that after he tasted it, he wouldn't go to all that trouble to swallow the WHOLE thing...that's funny.

I know why he did that.....in case any fish would look at him with an idea of eating him, they would change their minds and say   "Naw, he looks kinda stringy"..... :)

Maybe he just wanted to be different! Or maybe he's just stringing me along...Or maybe he forgot something: hince tie a string around your finger. But it looks like he misunderstood. :wink:

My vote is for a worm\parasite.  look up Ghost Shrimp and parasite or nematode.
