  • Fishing question

If I'm fishing the Seabrook flats...would you wanna fish the incoming or out going tide??? If your familier with the area...I plan on standing in the water right across the water from the Pier 8 restaurant. Any tips or info welcomed.

I only fish seabrook flats in fall and spring. Not many trout there in the summer. Be better off fishing in the channel.

Ok, you know a good spot? I'm without kayak or boat so gotta stand on shore or in a wade-able area.

I would work live shrimp under a pop cork because there is so much bait in the water you have to get their attention I fish on my boat under the kemah bridge everyday I live on clear lake

Trout are visual and audio feeders. Drum are more attracted by taste and feel. Redfish are all three. So live shrimp is more effective for trout and redfish. Drum like it too but dead shrimp will catch more drum and redfish and the occasional trout. The best place to fish for trout in clear lake right now is at night under lights or at the end of the channel where the channel spills into the bay. There are some good drop offs leading to the flats and the fish stage up there on outgoing tides. Live shrimp or live croaker work wonders.

Good info. Well this weekend came and went and I didn't even go. Any of y'all wanna maybe go next weekend. I live in the area and am always looking for people to go fish with. My friends are either working shift work or not in to it.
