Yeah, i'm sure ill get the shipping refunded but that's only $80, it's going to be hard to
swallow a $300 loss...
It will set me back quite a while as far as getting new Trophs, that's for sure...

Looking back, maybe i should have asked him to ship Monday instead of Thursday but
you know what they say about hindsight....

my recent shipping delima with usps was really crazy. But one thing that I did was to insure the package for 2x the value. It wasnt that much to insure it. At least the postal worker told me if the shipment didnt get there by noon the next day, the insurance will cover it. Since I cancelled the shipment, I cant say whether the claim process was easy or not.

Anyways, what kind of troph did you get.

Alse fyi usps does not belong to the government any longer. One more reason to use fedex or ups

The post office is still a government entity, but is no longer funded by the government. I've worked for the post office for 7 years and have never heard of or delivered a 2nd day by 10am package. There is express mail which is next day by noon, and there is priority which is 2-3 day. Maybe you should talk to the shipper...

Yes but he will say you never asked for insurance. But if he has sold many times before he should tell you this. Insurance is not to expensive.

If I'm not mistaken.....USPS does not insure "live animal" packages .

If they were insured USPS will Pay full amount. including shipping if not they will only pay up to $100. Seller has to file the claim. Just call them and Ask.

I am with dave ive shipped so many trophs all throughout the US with usps express. Ive always used express and i always shipped out on Mon-wed, if he prob sent them out on friday for saturday delivery and thats where it got screwed up. NEVER and i mean NEVER have a seller ship out on Friday is too risky, hence your situation.
On the side note if they were packed in breather bags they can last up to 4days in my experiences if they were starved prior to shipping. Hopefully it all goes well
