That explains the XX on the Dos Equis label!

(I had a can of Tres Equis in Mexico, never seen it here in USofA.)

What is 2X's mean? In Roman Numerals it means 20.

Why did the beer get called 20?

Because it was first brewed by German Immigrants to Mexico in 1897 and it stood for the 20th Century.

Yes but you may not find much left- they only brew so much each year and it's pretty popular.

Hell go to the tour Saturday 1pm- only $5 and you'll have plenty of their other types to drink don't think they'll have the Xmas ale on tap, but they could at this point.

My Top 5

1.  Dos Equis XX Lager garnished with a lime

2.  Tecate garnished with a lemon slice or lime - Bottle prefered, but can is ok

3.  Blue Moon garnished with a orange slice - draft is best, bottled is ok

4.  Modella Especial with Lime - Bottle prefered, can is not good

5.  Cold and Opened - served by a women is best.

For those of you into microbrews and ipa's (indiana pale ale)...

I was introduced to this by a friend the other night, and man, was it good.

Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA - Very strong, hoppy/malt flavor, each bottle 9% alcohol by volume. Definitely an acquired taste, I would not recommend this to a regular beer drinker. Only comes in a 4 pack, lol. Got some chillin' in the fridge right now  



Also, the Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA - This one had a weaker taste, I think it's 6% abv, not entirely sure.


Supposedly, there's a 120 minute IPA as well, but I've yet to find it. Both the 60 and 90 minute ipa's were purchased from Kroger.

I advise that you all try it! Enjoy!
