    You excited about the baby?

Sorry about the dogs, Rebekah. If you call animal control, they'll set up some traps for you.

Well, we're out here in the middle of nowhere and I don't think Animal Control would come out this far... I'll look into that though! Thanks! I told my dad that maybe we can rent a trap or something and he said "Yeah! Then we could just shoot them in the traps!" LOL! He is really angry about the cats and the fact that they scatter our trash and eat all of the cat food!

I can imagine how frustrating it is!!

I wish I could help, but I can't. Unless...have you tried rubber bullets?

              Re: 9:20 thursday night

Well, we've shot BBs at them, but they run so darn fast... LOL! I don't think we've ever hit any of them, and now my brother and my boyfriend are talking about going "dog hunting" one night and I can't help but think I should be looking on e-bay for a bullet-proof vest and helmet for my horse! LMAO!! The dogs seem to be living under an abandoned trailer house next door to us and they run right over there when they get scared...my dad's talking about just putting a bowl of anti-freeze over there to just get it over with... I think that's a sad way to die, but so is being chased and then eaten alive like our cats were probably killed. Ugh...anybody have a really big trap??? LOL! I have gone out to my horse's pen and found dog footprints in the mud and he hasn't seemed to have been hurt by the dogs. I keep thinking that one day I'm going to go out there and find a trampled dog in his pen LOL!

AWWWW!! That's exciting! I love babies! I was a live-in nanny for an infant one summer...pretty much took over for his parents! It sucked as far as the pay, but he was adorable, and it's not as hard as it seems to take care of them. Just have patience and be careful because they can smell panic and fear!!! LMAO!!

Houston SPCA!!! We'll see you on TV!!!!!

And if you have a bullet proof vest and helmet on your horse when they go out there. That will be...amazing. The antifreeze is mean though...that's a slow and horrible death...not fair. Yes, your cats probably had a horrible death, but at least it wasn't all of their organs slowly shutting down...

                          Re: 9:20 thursday night

Ewwww... I don't wanna be on TV... Plus, when we lived South of Houston a few years back and had a stray that was actually nice, we called the HSPCA and they said it was out of their jurisdiction and we would have to bring her to them and if we did that, they would just put her down. The only thing wrong with that dog was a spot of mange about the size of a quarter on her back...we ended up finding her a home with a local girl who just loved her to death! But yeah, I don't think that the HSPCA would come all the way out here to try to pick up some stray dogs that they would have to set traps for. All of that stuff you see on Animal Cops Houston is pretty much an act. They find the worst cases that they can find and only choose to deal with those....kinda sad. A friend of mine tried to call them out to a pasture here near Baytown because she saw some skin-and-bones horses out there with no food and water about to die and there were a couple of foals in there too! They told her that there was nothing they could do...she later saw all of those horses dead and no one did anything to help them. There was nothing she could do because that would be trespassing and people get shot for that around here. I'll look into finding a shelter close by in Dayton, but I'm not sure if there is one... Thanks for the suggestions though! LOL!

No, I'm not going to put any Anti-freeze out. I won't let my dad even talk about it LOL! Somehow I'll find a place that'll come and take them... I think there's a no-kill shelter kinda up the road from us, but I'll have to call her and see if she will trap them for us.

That's sad about your friend's experience...doesn't surprise me when they have a TV show. Do y'all have a local humane society or anything?

I'll look for one, but I'm kinda doubtful, but I'll have to look.

You know, I hate watching that Animal Cops because I've seen them take in these really sweet starved dogs and then even before they have them fed up right they test them for food aggression!! I hate that!!! Of course the starved dog is going to bite the stupid rubber hand when you stick it in the food like you're trying to take it away!! It's been starved almost to death!! Then, they put the dog down after they have spent countless dollars on trying to fix it in the first place! Ugh...just makes me sick. I know they are trying to just do the best they can for the people that are potentially adopting these animals, but when you try to take food away from an animal, you're going to get bit...duh...
