I think that comes from experience. I've learned that alot of people selling fish don't have the experience under their belt yet of learning proper etiquette for selling. So if you are dealing with someone new that you haven't established a history with, haven't seen their fishkeeping habits, etc... it is prudent to exercise wisdom without being rude and cover all your bases for the prospective buy upfront.
I think it's safe to say that we all prefer to see the fish IN the tank to observe them before I purchase for many reasons - and especially tropheus! Experienced keepers KNOW that and act accordingly. So if someone pulled them into a bucket before I got there it would send up a red flag. In that event, I would assess whether it was a mistake from inexperience or not and then take appropriate actions to remedy situation. If not newbie I'd backup and re-evaluate the situation.
Regardless, any special situations should always be discussed beforehand. Thanks so much,
Lydia

And correct me if im wrong but dont most of like to see the fish you are going to buy in the tank? Watch them for ahwile see how they interact with eachother, see if they are healthy? Well when i got there to pick up the fish all 30 3inch fish were in one bucket. The small fry were in a seperate container. I would like to know what y'all think about this?
