Monster has been at this for several years. There was an interesting case against a Vermont based brewery that put out 'Vermonster' a while ago. Long story short, the Vermont brewery stood up to Monster Energy and won. It is unfortunate that they had to hire an attorney.

For now, Monster Energy hasn't sued the Monster Aquaria network . . . they've only sent out a cease and desist letter. It is just a bully tactic. If Li hires a lawyer (or knows one through MFK), then she can get him to draft a letter stating 'No --- Screw you'. This should be enough to show Monster Energy that MFK is willing to spend moeny to protect themselves, and will win (precedent has already been set) should a legal entanglement ensue.

Li can do so without representation, but the energy conglomerate is more like to try to continue to bully the site.

Li is a guy btw lol. There's already been talks of fundraising if this were ever to be taken to court. There's also plenty of Lawyers on MFK that are willing to help.

I'm on MFK quite a bit and I drink about 5-6 Monsters a day but when I seen what they were doing I stopped. It's pretty lame that they're trying to bully MFK like it's causing them to lose money. I'd be willing to bet they've lost more money since the letter was issued.

i've always been a red bull fan anyway, it mixes better with most liquors i drink! however, my hubby and my boss are both monster drinkers. after showing them the article linked in the beginning of this thread and the thread itself, both of them have joined me and switched from monster to red bull! my hubby even wrote a letter to monster energy telling them that we were disgusted with this practice and that perhaps they should cut back on consumption of their own product and mellow out. lol.
