Emily: "I want to change my room, its too baby for me."
Me: "No, your room is fine the way it is.."
Emily: "I am too old for flowers and princess theme."
Me: "No, your room is fine the way it is. Don't ask anymore.."

So today I am repainting and redecorating her room.....


Here's what her room currently looks like. She tells me she has outgrown the flowers, butterflies and and pink borders. Personally I think it looks great, since I spent so much effort creating that room for her a few years ago.. oh well.. I guess I have to strip everything off the walls and redo her room..

It is very nice as is, but if you are going to redo it, doing her room the way she wants it ,make a suggestion of a fish tank as well..which I am sure she deserves and you as a great father want to do it for her. A fish tank would make a nice touch.

Lucky girl. My mother painted my room pink with a rainbow & wouldn't change it. I managed to cover the walls with posters from car magazines eventually. Bless her heart, she tried so hard to make me be a girly girl that it backfired on her. Good luck with the remodel! What ideas does she have for her new room? Kids have great ideas!

Nice work on the room! That looks amazing! It must have took a lot of effort! I helped redo my sister's room from a shabby broken down room into something more nice and it took a lot of work!

Well, I am about 65% done with her room. She wanted to transition from a "Princess Flower" room to a "Tween" room and I got it pretty good. There's still alot more to do. She wants a canopy over her bed, but the problem is her bed does not have any posts for a canopy. So I am going to improvise and build a "Floating Canopy" over her bed. But thats for next weekend.

Here's where its at so far. It is still pretty bare a simple, but that will change next week.. :)

Ah i got it. Build a custom tank around the border or the room at the top. Like some restaurants have trains going around, just make it a tank instead.

No more tanks.. LOL No budget for new tanks. besides, it just means more tanks for me to clean and take care of..
