oh no no no no no no one is being rewarded OR punished.  Behave boys!
okay......I'm tired lol.
A) I was preparing the house for the stand etc yesterday and B) Sunday I was at Jesper and Nick's all afternoon and evening making the stand into furniture with paint etc. lol.

C)I have an inservice today...but I hope to come by tomorrow.  I wont' get through with today's crap until 6:30.  So....tonight is bucket filling time.
I'm going to have this 75 up and going with fish by the weekend

lol i will have to wait tlittle while on the bulbs cus move in and all that, tank will just go without much light for a bit, a few 18" single bulbs. Ek i like metal halides but they use sooo much energy and then they heat up the tank way too much for my tastes. what about T-5s i dont know much about those but i heard they are really cool.

I haven't had any problems with MH I modded into my little Nanocube....heat didn't change much to be of concern.....T5's penetrate through the water good too but I like MH's which is closer in par with sunlight.....also the shimmering effect is awesome!

i thought that MH's didn't use that much energy???....was i under the wrong impression???.....i thought that delock said they didn't use alot

well how about i enjoy them on your tanks and then keep my cost down on mine    just outa curiously how much is ur electric bill man, the girlfriend is worried im gonna run it way up in the apartment with the 14 tanks im plannin on having. but they are mostly gonna be small tanks.

I honestly did not notice that much of a difference in the electrical bill.....I also think it has to do with which ballast you use.

Anyone seen a 70 watt x 2 MH? would be perfect for my planted 75 but no one makes them it seems. I should probably just add another bulb and ballast to my current set up.

well i meant also when you added large tanks and all that. since it is gonna take me a month or so to move them all im sure i will notice difference from first month and second

Well I added the 70w MH to my nano which is also running 2x18w PC and then I added the 2x65w on my 10g.....oh and the RCS tank which is running 4x9w+1x13w.

 man im only gonna have 3 total PC strips besides normal ones, have thought of doing a retro fit on the eclipse 25, what do u think? have you ever done that and do i burn the place down if i do? :wink:

The PC's over my 5.5g RCS tank is basically a retrofit....at least the single 13w that I modded into the std strip light is.

Also the 70w MH and 2x18w is a DIY that I modded into the hood of my JBJ nanocube which I also modded an ICA chiller into the hood and have a DIY refugium light on the back of the tank which houses a 18w PC bulb.

I recently picked up an eclipse3 hood from Naomi which has the Sunpaq 65w PC retrofit in it and it works great......got it for $15 too which was a steal of a deal!

What do you plan on using in the eclipse? I would spring for something from AHsupply.com and make it work in the hood but the way the hood is set up the light is too far on one side for my taste...
