  • One minute of your time, and help me win a scholarship to get into Marine Science!

    Hello there,

My name is Michelle, and I am a teenager of this site, and now, I am asking for help!

I am an avid fish lover, and have been all my life in aquaria, as well as outdoor life, fishing, and boating.

I am looking to go to college up in Alaska at: University of Alaska Southeast, or possibly Alaska Pacific University, in which I can study marine life, and more directly, the migrating whales there.

As much as I have a passion for such hobbies, I do not have the financial means to get me there. I am in the top 5% of my high school class, and am avidly pursuing scholarships funds to help me achieve my dream I have held since my childhood.

Attached is a link to an essay I have written which is 300 words about an inspiring person in my life.

If you have a moment, just a second-please vote and help me win the grand prize of 3000, 2000, or even 1000$!

Please send to any who might vote for me, and thank you for your time!

Galveston by far is my next top choice! I am an Aggie at heart, but those whales up north are so calling to me!

I may end up here in Galveston before its all said and done with-that cold might be just a little too much!

I voted as well. Good luck, Michelle!

A fellow fishboxer just got back from Alaska last week!
        Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

          Thanks man!
          :)

          Really, another person?
I'll have to find them and ask how it was!
I can only imagine the ice fishing up there too...halibut are just a little larger than the flouder here!

Done and done, If you are considering Galveston A&M give Lexi a pm (Alexarae) she has been going there for several years now and would have a lot of good advice. (:
