I have a facebook page...but I havent checked it in like 2yrs. DRAMA is the only use for sites like this...and I dont do drama. Twitter is just retarded.

Some people use it for drama. Those would be people who need constant attention. Some people flood the page with games (which I don't understand people complaining about, because you can turn off all game information). Many people, like myself, keep the drama to a minimum, if not off the page altogether, and use the site as it was intended. . . to stay in contact with people.

I have friends, colleagues, and/or family in Washington, California, Oregon, Utah, Texas, Nebraska, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Tennessee, Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and of course, Michigan. I have friends in South Africa, Switzerland, and Canada, as well. Those are just the places off the top of my head!

Even good friends lose touch. . . especially with as much as I've moved. FB has provided me with an incredible link to keep in touch with people. I converse with my best friends in Michigan and Virginia more on FB than any other way.

So, I do agree with you, in that people get carried away, but it's not impossible to separate yourself from that. . .

A little off topic, but since you mentioned it, and I was just trying to figure this out last night, how do you turn off all the game notifications? I missed a pretty important post that I should have seen last night but didn't because of all the game stuff on there. :(

I made a facebook a couple of days ago....but its boring asshell!!....I really dont care about tweeting everithing I do so **** that too!!

I enjoy my facebook. I get to talk to friends and share info that i want with them. i have lived in many states and it makes it easy to keep up with friends. I hate talking on the phone so facebook makes it easier. Unlike some people think, not everyone shares personal info about themselves. You have good control over who gets to see what you put on there, and you control what you type (unless it is 2am Sat morning and you are just getting home from the bar).

I dont have either. I have a full time job and a family that takes up most of my time. My wife made me a myspace account when that first came out but ive logged into that maybe two times. This down economy forces me to work alot of overtime so not alot of time for such things. I can say for sure that if I got a free Bud Light everytime I did a Tweet, then id be more interested.

The easiest way is when people send you invites, click on the link showing all your invites. Click on the text that states block this application. That will prevent you getting future requests from that application and will not allow any posts related to that application to be posted on your wall.
