    Actually, the vet would have euthanized it with a euthasol injection and the body would have been sent to the city lab for testing. I know. I have taken several packages to the city lab over the years. All negative.

          In today's world a physician / health care worker takes no chances on being sued because of a misdiagnosis or missed diagnosis. The physician / health care worker performs all tests that are necessary or precautionary to rule out all possibilities to cover their respective employer or their own ***. This is a decision that you alone has to make! I suggest that a call to the county and or city health department were you live and ask about recent rabies incidents in the last few weeks. If there are no rabies incidents for your immediate area and the cat did not present rabid behavior, the probability of contacting rabies would be significantly low. sunrise
