Please go out and price a windows unit with the same internals and software, and then compare. Now add the ability to run the mac os, windows, and linux... oh wait - that only the mac.

if there is no price range go alienware and get top of the line everything ....dual video cards, quad core processor, everything overclocked....only cost around 5 G's

Precision Mobile M6400, it's a beast and heavy but you are not a smurf. If you wanna go cheap, dell latitude e6400 or the allienware too.
But if you want something just for your home and play with videos, multimedia and nothing extraordinary, go with mac.
