Either the Kahr K9 or 40 model. I love those guns too! Nice little cheap shooters, accurate for their price.

You saying that if I shot you with it you think you'd be able to keep coming at me? This is a thread about self-defense, and not assault, right?

It's not that it can't be carried, it's b/c it's harder to carry and I don't think Peter means you can't hit him, he means it's just that much harder........which is the point Jesper made and it's a very valid point.

Any one that has shot a 9mm vs. a .45 cal with the same inch barrel and weight of gun will tell you that.

The only safety is your finger off the trigger. And to not point at anything you don't plan to destroy. Don't need a external safety.

Always buy ammo in bulk online or at Wal-Mart. Those are your cheapest options.

    I agree.

I'm a PIA when it comes to safety and I like the comfort factor of the external thumb safety. Then again I know if I'm fumbling around with an extra safety in a confrontational situation I could be the one paying the price.

I research things down to the finest detail and I found the M&P to be a solid middle of the road choice for me.

I created spread sheets of my initial choices and did a line item comparrison of everything from dimensions, weighs loaded and unloaded, trigger pressure etc etc.

We all need to meet at a gun range sometime and do a little shooting.

    That EMP rocks.

SIG's are top quality as well. My problem is that most of their models don't have a external safety.

I'm in the safety business and I won't buy a gun that does not have a thumb safety on it.

It was between the Springfield Armory EMP 9mm, or the Kimber CDP II....The price of 9mm won me over...

This gun is considered "loaded" by Springfield Armory, because it features Trijicon night sights, ambidextrous safety, match grade barrel...And LIFETIME WARRANTY! <3 Springfield Armory...

I use Speer Gold Dot 9mm, as my carry ammo.

Sig!!!!!!!!! God like guns, best handgun I've ever owned. My p220r .45 was much more accurate than any 1911 I've laid my hands on.
