We've had DTV for several years now... one thing I can say in their favor is that whether I needed tech support or questions about our acount, I always got to talk to someone quickly who seemed to actually give a darn. We cancelled Time-Warner and started with DTV because T-W's customer service was terrible (and that's putting it kindly). Realize that DTV doesn't work if it's raining hard. Unless you're a TV addict, it's usually not a problem.

Rico - you should have made this a poll. However as Mark can attest to I would not offer "Shoot myself in the head" as a choice.120g - Tropheus Moorii Kambwimba

I have direct tv which I got after I was tired of having them install my line 7...yes 7 times. They had to not only do a new connection... they had to climb up the pole and re-dig a new line. Finally on the 8th time i gave up on comcast. I pay one bill for super basic home phone (in case of emergency and to find my cell when I misplace it lol), the second stage of the tv stations and internet. I pay like $80ish for all. I have only lost a signal once in over a year of having it. I am quite content with Direct and internet and phone all through At&t. They offer gift cards of cash with bundle purchases. I got $200 back. If i have lost phone or internet I get excellent refunds. my 2cents.5.5 fw fluval chi - class N top bar snake chested endlers/ red marble bn/ 4 stripe RCS/ pumpkin shrimp

I used to have the Time Warner bundle; phone, internet, cable tv. Never had any problems. When Comcast took over there were nothing but problems.
Now I have an antenna beside the house and a digital converter box. I miss Discovery, Nat. Geo., Animal Planet, etc., but I get to watch more PBS than before.
MarkWhat are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.

For yall that have Comcast, call 713-341-1000. The 1800 # wont help much. I called the 1-800 # yesturday because I wasnt able to get online. They told me that the modem was showing online and that they couldnt help. I would have to pay upto $50 for them to come to me. I held myself from saying stuff so I spent about 5 hours trying to fix it myself. So I called the 713 # just awhile ago and they got me connected in about 5 minutes!
