The company I work for processes and stores seismic data for energy companies. There are several formats for seismic data, ,most of them being seg formats (seg stands for Society of Exploring geophysist), some common ones are known as segA, segB, segD, and segC. well I was loading this data for a client that was segc and I was just having a hell of a time. the media was damaged amonst other things, soI fire off an e-mail to my bosses to let them know about the bad segc data. Well before I sent it, I spell checked it but I didn't really pay attention. Appearantly windows spell check doesn't recognize segc, and thinks it's supposed to be sexy. and since I was paying attention, I told it to go on ahead and change them all.
"I'm unable to do anything with this sexy tape!!!" "this sexy data is incomplete" the teasing has been constant since now all my bosses and coworkers now believe I have an unnatural physical attraction to seismic data.
