I went into Academy tonight, and I saw a decent looking shotgun for under 200.00, it was a mossberg 88 or something like that....what's the low down on this shotgun, is it your everyday standard hole making 12 guage?

I have my ticket and carry a modified military 1911 A1 .45 or a Desert Eagle XIX .50AE with Houge grips and Millett sights. I have big hands and recoil and noise dosen't bother me.

I would like to remind people that when the last time they assault bill was signed 2-4 years later there was a MAJOR change in congress.. Many senators and members of congress who voted for the bill, where replaced within 2-4 yrs of doing so. The people, didnt want to see this happen again.
Again criminals dont care about the law, its only the law abiding citizens who are going to lose out. Closing these "few loopholes" and then reinstating it again is simply going to mean the same thing happen again, the number of times where the law was supposed to help didnt, and once sunset happen again the criminals lost, because in the last few years after the sunset occurred crime which the law supposedly was to prevent went down after the citizen was able to arm himself and not have to worry. Please note the above comes from the FBI violent crime statistics (ie. not my speculation). This is why many law enforcement agencies do not see the reintroduction of this bill as anything, but a way for the administration to draw a line in the sand an alienate many people who wants to see change, but change they are going to get is government taking away peoples rights and put limitations on a VERY small problem.
For anyone who wants to really work on doing something about 'senseless' deaths, start working on getting rid of the automobile. It alone kills on average 13 people in Texas every single day.. not every other day or something like that.. every day. 1/2 by drunk drivers. Now if you are for gun control, how about getting behind the removal of the automobile because that is a huge killer. Now all of us know where I am going with this.. and yes what I am saying is that removing the rights for either one is just as bad and just as senseless..

a big controversy lately is college campus' which i think if you have a license you should be able to carry on campus like alexaraea said whens the last time a licensed individual just went on a rampage nobodys going to go through all the trouble to get a license just to go kill folks they can do that without a licence the only people who get licenses are the ones who want to protect themselves from the criminals/crazys

I've never met a criminal who pulled out his CHL before he went on a shooting spree.
The only thing these gun laws are doing is making it more difficult for us to protect ourselves from the people who don't follow the laws.

It's just my 2 cents but I believe that we should be able to carry gun with a CHL almost anywhere.
