wow this is a long thread, i need to check more often. My own guns, a semi-.22 cal long rifle (a winchester i think, gotta check), a remington 1300 series (pretty sure on that, its a semi-auto 16 gauge. a marlin 336 30-30 lever action, a Nagant Carbine circa 1940's in Great condition 7.62x54 bolt action, nice steel butt plate for hittin the zombie heads that get too close, and my Favorite gun of all time, thought im sorry i had to get a reproduction, 1911 .45 cal, the rock island armory one, but hey its a 1911. i love the springfield (the plain type one) but its outa my price range.
Oh and if anyone want to split an ammo order on some surplus nagant ammo, i am totally down, because 20 cents a round is cheap, as long as i dont have to buy all 800 rounds. also im short on storage space, but you cant have too much around for that Zombie attack, hence the surplus rifle and .22, always ammo for that around, but i just lent my zombie survival guide away, good thing i have all those nice military manuals on making my own, well everything.

Thanks EK. Do you think it really matters if I plan on using it strictly for home defense?Originally posted by eklikewhoa View PostThe choke changes the spread pattern.

Guess I am not sure what you mean.Originally posted by fishlady View Posti'd put an insert into the barrel to get a full choke instead of modified....but that's not hard to do.....

Can you explain what the difference is?

You should make it your next purchase Steve. Pistol grip, and a few extra little accessories will make it a very cheap and effective home defense weapon.

My CHL is pending currently. I have a k frame S&W in .38 spl I had customized and a Glock 36 that is so boring to shoot and sole less I love to hate it.
If you are in the market for a sub $250 gun check out the CZ-82. I just picked up one for my dad and can hit what I point at with it and the trigger is much better than most guns I have shot stock.

haha! that's ironic! I've got that exact same shot gun! works well for home defense. just be sure to load up some buck shot rounds. that's how I roll

My 12ga Mosberg pump has been good to me the 30 years I have had it.Originally posted by CichlidFan View PostI went into Academy tonight, and I saw a decent looking shotgun for under 200.00, it was a mossberg 88 or something like that....what's the low down on this shotgun, is it your everyday standard hole making 12 guage? thanks CF
The only drawback is that it only holds 7 rounds. But if the bad guys aren't running after I fire 7 shots, maybe I should be.

In case of emergency - Break glass!
If that don't work then there's always something in the back room that will!
