Houston does have a great team, we've struggled a little but I'm definitely proud of them this year especially. The Rapids are a good team, too...and I can't help but love Manchester United. Lol. Such a great team.
We've been watching the NWSL games, also...it'll be interesting to see if we can manage to keep a female league together, finally.
Ever brew mead? I had a buddy that used to, and that stuff was like ambrosia of the gods!! Mmmmm.

Man U... so predictable. I don't like footie much, but when I do, I watch Barça.

      But, yay for mead!

          First off welcome to Houston!

Now all this Man U talk, I was a fan of Man U when I was in high school bc of Ruud van Nistelrooy. Dude was a beast. I don't have too much time anymore to follow soccer so I've dropped out of the loop. Glad American soccer is finally getting better though, we were an embarrassment for some time on the world soccer stage.

Where do the women play at ? That can be a great spectator sport sometimes :)

Ive met one od the Dynamo Girls at Hooters, not been to the stadium yet. Maybe if they make the playoffs or when Colorado play em again.

Yeah ive made Prickly Pear Mead, Chokecherry and a standard Honey Mead. Ive got 6 bottles left that a friend gave me too.

Ive seen Utd play once or twice in Ireland vs Shelbourne and it was fun. We (Shels) were a feeder for Utd for years, that's when my hatred for them exploded!

Right now they're airing some of the games on Fox Soccer, I haven't seen anything local yet. The NWSL is pretty new and they're still trying to even the teams out...playing in smaller venues mostly, trying to drum up interest, but I think it's looking promising. They're pulling from the US, Canada and Mexico this time. Hopefully it'll hold together.

                  Ooh, pear you say?? Nice.

Prickly pear cactus I believe... there's also a tropical fruit called prickly pear, also known as soursop.

Yeah had picked from the cactis in local pastures. I can barely remember making it, when I brew I use Papazians rule of "Relax dont worry, have a homebrew" and went a bit too far making that with the guys.

Ah. Yes, interesting choice...but hey, if you had fun making it and it's drinkable- that's a win in my book!
