Hey guys and gals I am Jimmy and originally from Louisiana. I have kept many discus in the past and a few other fishes. I am about to get a tank or two going after an absence of many years. At one time I kept 700 gallons of water flowing. Not sure which way to go......discus community tank...angelfish with maybe some Altums...or Africans. May even consider branching out and trying salt. May be more than I want to tackle. Anyway...I am looking forward to reading the forum and hopefully meet a few folks. I am 54 and live near Conroe.

Nice friendly bunch here. Just reading a few post I have noticed many are very knowledgeable and I am sure I will learn more as I venture into untested waters....no pun intended. I am leaning towards discus again and may even setup a small reef type tank (untested waters). I do like the alure of Altums and am seriously considering them also. I have lots of tanks but just don't know how many I will set up as I may decide to go back across the border. Really depends on what the next 12 months show me. I know few people here and GF left about a year and half ago...so getting kinda lonesome. Maybe this will give me something to put energy into. Thanks again for the warm and friendly welcome.

Glad you found us and hopefully can make it to some meetings! Seeing other folks tanks can be the best thing to inspire your own spark of creativity. There are many different keepers with different tanks and interests to appreciate. In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.
