Traci are you going to move my plant profile to the new plant section?

Yep, I've got to make a separate template for plants. That's the next move. I also added a 'Comments' section for each profile so you can now add your own notes to any given profile.

A little difficult in getting the plant profile with the selections given. However, I do like the section it is fun. Everyone needs to start adding their fish and plants.

Thank you. I knew I was going to miss some of the breeding options...I'll add those now.

Uploaded a profile on My MACs just to try it out and the only problem I had was under "breeding" the selections do not include "paternal mouthbrooder" also I noticed that "bubblenester" was not listed and that on the betta splendes profile it is listed as a mouthbrooder.... someone should change that after bubblenester is added.

And I'd like to add a few more betta splendens photos

I have an idea...I'm not sure it'll work the way I want, but I want to give it a shot. I'll work on it this weekend.

I'd say both. That way new owners know what they might expect.

I started putting in a profile for Giraffe Catfish last night, but as I was reading other profiles to get average temps, ph, stuff like that, I noticed that pretty much everything I read was the complete opposite of the behavior I personally experience with them. For example, a lot of the info out there says that they are social with each other...mine HATE each other and have to be in separate tanks. Also, I found a lot of profiles say that they are not territorial, but ours both have 'their' cave and chase out other fish if they try to get in the cave. AND it also says that they will eat any fish that can fit in their mouth, but ours will not eat fish. They have accidentally sucked in feeder fish and just shoot it out their gills (still alive). I've seen the over and over, so I know it wasn't just a fluke.

So...what should I profile? MY experience, or the general experience?

I just put my experience with the betta.

Maybe both? State what everything says and then say your experience in additional comment section?

It was a little ticklish on the hands I must admit. I recently tried to demonstrate this behavior by sticking my hand in their tank just last week, but the just were not interested anymore. They got REALLY spoiled on dried seaweed. I have seen these at Xtreme on Bellaire.

Cool. Sounds like it would feel good. I don't think I could ever get it done, though. I'm really ticklish.

Never tried it myself, though they did attach themselves to my hands during water changes the first couple of months I had them.
