Now Here - New Photo Album

I have to say that I was confused for a little while when I started uploading pictures. I thought that they would automatically be put into a new album. It took me a few minutes to find the "My Albums" button. I think I have it figured out now.
What's a little weird is that for the galleries (not the gallery home page) you have to scroll down past the "recent photos", "most popular images", and the "random images" before you see the list of images. I end up having to do alot of scrolling. Does this make sense? Re-reading this I think I might have confused myself.
I also noticed another thing. This should be my 99th post but it says that I have posted 110 times already.
I really don't care about racking up my post count. I just happened to notice that it was at 97 and I have posted twice since then. I noticed the change after adding pictures. Do you think it has something to do with the new photo thingy?

Ah...thank you for reminding me...I forgot to add the donate link to the new menu bar.Originally posted by jeebus View PostSpeaking of which, you need to setup a paypal donate area (if there isn't one already) so we can give you money. :)

I understand that...it's new software, there is usually a learning curve. If you upload a single picture, it automatically goes into the album, but if you upload multiple pictures it asks you to confirm it. I can take away the ability to upload multiple pictures (and have everyone upload one photo at a time) if you guys think this it is a problem to approve your uploads...this seems to be an issue. I'll see what I can do about the formatting of the pages. There is an option to allow picture posts to count in your post counts. I thought I turned that off, but I'll double check.I also noticed another thing. This should be my 99th post but it says that I have posted 110 times already.

Somehow I missed some pretty cool options and I'm turning them on now.
- The gallery will now extract the EXIF information from images and display it.
- HTML code and Direct Link code is now displayed so you can link your photos to your posts (this is going to be monitored for bandwidth use though...if you link to another website it will eat up our bandwidth and I may have to turn it off)
- I'm still working on figuring out how to make the layout better....Our Fishhouse

Um.. actually I hadn't created an album originally so all the pictures I uploaded were separate from each other. Then I realized what I needed to do (it's not rocket science and I think I've got 90% of it figured out). But I get what you are saying. It asked me to confirm the upload when I did multiples. I didn't think it was an issue.Originally posted by imagirlgeek View PostI understand that...it's new software, there is usually a learning curve. It's okay if you can't format the pages. It was just a tiny nuisance, nothing major. It will give my fingers a little workout on the wheel. <visualizes a little smile-y running on a hamster wheel> I wonder if they could be minimized? You know like the plus/minus buttons on the start menu of Windows (when you explore).
As for the pictures being in the post counts, I think it was on. I posted this morning so that would have made the count at 98 posts and then I uploaded 12 pictures. 98 + 12 = 110.
Anyways, thanks again for the new photo album thingy! You are amazing! Now if only people would upload their pictures...Last edited by FuzzyDragon09; 03-01-2009, 11:39 PM.-Laura-
