    Description:
    Very docile catfish and are great in groups of 5 or more. From the northern South American and southern Central American regions in smaller streams and rivers. They get their name from the Greek words Kory (helmet) and Doras (skin). Corys are great bottom feeders that will sift through the substrate for food. It is recommended to have finer substrate because of the barbels at the end of their snout. There are over 150 different species of corydoras.
