coming back to the cichlid world from the salt world. since I already have have a ro/di sys. what do cichlids prefer.

depends of the cichlid africans like it hard and basic where as some south american and new world like the water softer and more acidic so depends on which u are talking aboutaltums 90 gallon

alot of tropical like the softer more acidic water but not all it just all depends but you should never do straight ro on anythingaltums 90 gallon

RO/DI water should be used South American, and African Congo river cichlids (they are mainly dwarf cichlids ie nanochromis and a few others)
African Lakes (Malawi, Tanganyika and Victoria) are HEAVY loaded in both hardness and pH.
