    Re: my tanks

Sometimes rainbowfish can be a bit nippy... but they should be fine with the angel. I have had rainbowfish in tanks with everything from small tetras, and amano shimp to african cichlids.  Rainbowfish have incredibly small mouths for their size. It would be hard for them to fit another fish inside their mouth.

I know eklikewhoa knows better than this, but rainbowfish as a group actually some of the most differences. Try looking at a celebes or threadfin rainbow, and then a Irian( red), Boesmani (orange and blue) or Turquoise rainbowfish (blue ant white).

I do however agree that they like being in a group. And that a couple of firend would be a welcome addition (this is in a 55 gallon tank, right).

lol it will be. As soon as I get it on Thursday, The 55 gets set up and cycling... (can I just syphon water from the 20 into the 55?) I will get him friends when I get the 55 set-up.  The free angel has a 3" tall BODY (not including fins).  So Mike... I guess I will need some angels on Friday lol.

Yes,keeping the water from 20 and putting it in the 55 sounds like a good idea to me... I do that whenever I move tank to and from school. I keep as much of the clean water as I can...

Cute Lionhead! It looks like an orange or a fawn--probably a fawn though! Is it a buck or a doe?

doe.... wanna breed her? lol Her long hair is killing my allergies.  She has some gray on her back. When it starts to cool off, I may set her up on my porch outside.
I meant to say that I may need some rainbows on friday Mike lol.  Omg... I just "rescued" a tank with two oscars that someone left in a house and the new owners want nothing to do with them.  They are in a 20 long with like 40lbs of gravel.  It's too late to totally fix the tank the way I want.  If they live through the night I'll work on it tomorrow.  The oscars are like 4" and it has no top.  Three times they jumped out of a bucket....the last time was in the dark into a bunch of leaves...took me a while to find them in the dark.  The tank is NASTY.  It was drained except for like an inch above the gravel.  I must say... it was WAY too heavy.  Cleaning scheduled for tomorrow night. :?

                          Reba,

You wanted some tankbusters.. the two oscars will become your 75G latest inhabitants...  they will need that much space in about 3-4 months from now, unless you speak nicely to Mike and ask him to take them in.  The 20G long is WAY to small for them.

Btw I forgot to add.. the 20G is what I am going to host my Lamprologus Ocellatus shell dwellers....  All I did was add a 20 lbs bag of Eco African cichild sand in it, and as soon as my fish comes in at Mike's then I am dropping in my shells and fish :)
The fish, if all goes well, will be in the shipment that Mike is getting in this week :)
