  • Where to excavate holey rock?

So I've been doing a lil but of reading and found out how to clean dirty rocks. got a power washer and I figured bleaching them cant be to hard. Only thing I need now is to find out where to dig them. Google maps will help

Don't think you'll find anything nice.

From all the pics I've seen of collected holey rock it should just be left titled limestone

Just search your local rock yards, boxers and pet shops.

It's illegal to take holey/limestone rock in most places that it's available especially within the Edwards aquifer zone around San Antonio.

I have a few pieces... think like 4-5 that are from grapefruit to football size.

          $20 and they're yours.

think you came by one day to get something from mistahoo, that's my brother.

i've heard they get REALLY big... so good luck. agree with EK its doesnt have as many "holes" and more of a solid piece even at the rock yard.. you would have to dig to the bottom of the pallet to probably find a few nice ones

Hmm I'll probably check out the rock yard by Sam moon or something. Pet stores over price them to much. Didnt know about the aquifer zone.

I talked to a geologist at fish land once and he said that he was ended up digging a nice size rock but couldn't get it out because he went at least 8 feet down and still was stuck solid in the ground and was at least 2-3 yards long so he just broke pieces off of it
