Help with Ehiem canister

I cannot for the life of me get the Ehiem filter to work after I took it apart to clean. If I lower the outlet tube lower than the intake then water comes out. But if I raise it up to tank level, nothing comes out of the outlet tube.

Force water through the filter and make sure it's not full of air

also, did you drop or damage the magnet/impeller?

No. I can feel the canister running and like I said, it works fine if I hold the outlet tube BELOW the tank. I'm gonna try to see if I can get my spare power head to pump water thru intake tube.

Sounds to me like the impeller is broke. it will flow from the syphon of the tank. wont build head presure.

Dude one time this happen to me I forgot to put the cap over the impeller make sure u have all the parts in and empty the canister and re do the symphon a couple of time and it should work fine if it doesnt then ur impeller is bad

+1, i have had exactly this happen on a magnum 350 when the impellor separated from the magnet

The impeller cap could be bad too.

I have had three mag350. the impeller is $45.00 at the LFS. I have had an Ehiam and Fluval brake too...

I think the impeller is bad.
